Blarney Stone Broadcasting, co-owned by Sheryl and Jerry Coyne, has been a vital part of Northern Michigan’s media scene since its inception in October 2012. Honored as the 2017 SBDC Small Business of the Year for NE Michigan, the company excels in providing local news, entertainment, sports, and promotions, all while supporting local businesses.

The Coyne’s are deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of their award-winning stations: Q100 Michigan (WQON-FM 100.3), Q100michigan.com, the Q100 Michigan Mobile App, and Up North Sports Radio (WGRY-FM101.1), upnorthsportsradio.com. Their stations were voted “Simply The Best Radio Station” by Traverse City Record-Eagle readers in both 2023 and 2024.

Q100 Michigan showcases local talent through the Q100 Michigan Music Connection and broadcasts Grayling Viking High School Sports and Detroit Lions Football.

Up North Sports Radio covers a wide range of sports, including Traverse City West Titans High School Sports, UofM Football, Detroit Tigers Baseball, Detroit Red Wings Hockey, and Detroit Pistons Basketball. It also features live and local sports programming like Friday FaceOff and the High School Scoreboard Show and produces state-wide network sports content such as Finding Fairways.
