NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

1. HOW TO ENTER

1. These rules govern the Blarney Stone Broadcasting “Odawa Casino Battle of the Bands presented by Q100 Michigan” (the “Promotion”) being conducted by Blarney Stone Broadcasting (the “Station”), in which the entry period for qualification will begin at 12:01am Eastern Time (“ET”) on 5/12/25 and will end at 11:59 PM ET 7/10/25 (“Entry Period”).  Selected qualifiers will perform a 30-minute live set at one of the two qualifying LIVE events, Saturday, August 23, 2025 (Qualifier Event 1) or Saturday, August 30, 2025 (Qualifier Event 2) at Odawa Casino, 1760 Lears, Petoskey, MI in the Victories Sports and Entertainment venue from approximately 7PM-9PM.  The top qualifier from each Qualifier Event will perform a 45-minute live set at the Final Event to be held at Odawa Casino on Saturday, September 6, 2025 (Final Event) from approximately 7PM-9PM.

2. To participate in the Promotion, you may enter via the following method:

• To qualify, each band, duo or solo singer must submit a recorded version of an original song no longer than five (5) minutes by the entry deadline.  All participating artists must be unsigned. 
• Entries may be submitted via the following methods:

• Entries submitted will not be acknowledged or returned.  Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited.  Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by Station.  The Station is not responsible for (i) lost, stolen, mangled, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete or late entries; (ii) telephone, internet or mobile service outages, delays, busy signals, facsimile transmission errors, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call, accessing the Facebook or Instagram platforms or from sending a text message (if applicable, message and data rates may apply).  The Station is not responsible for any fees incurred by an entrant for this method of entry; or entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technical difficulties. The Station is not responsible for telephone or internet service outages, delays, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from calling or contacting the station.

3. Bands, duos and solo artists may enter multiple times, each submission must be a different original song.  Individuals may only participate with one band, duo or as a solo artist.  All entries must be received by 11:59 PM ET on 7/10/25.
4. All songs submitted must adhere to a radio-friendly and respectful tone.  Lyrics and themes containing explicit language, violence, hate speech, or any form of discrimination are strictly prohibited.  Submissions must not contain any content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others. Any entry that violates these rules or is deemed inappropriate will be disqualified.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

1. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 21 years of age or older by August 23, 2025 and who are legal Michigan residents.  Employees of the Station, its licensee, and each of their respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies, its participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Northern Michigan area, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win.  This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. 
2. Bands, duos or solo artists that are not available to participate on the designated dates and times for Qualifier Event 1 or Qualifier Event 2 and the Final Event will be disqualified.         
3. Only one (1) qualifier per household is permitted in any Station-conducted promotion.  Listeners are eligible to win a prize valued at $600 or more in a Station-conducted promotion only once every six (6) months.
4. The grand prize winner may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and sign and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Liability/Publicity Release in order to accept the prize.
5. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent.  The Station will disqualify any entry from bands, duos or solo artists who do not meet the eligibility requirements.  The Station will also delete any entry knowingly received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

3. PRIZES

1. A maximum of three (3) qualifiers will be selected to compete in Qualifier Event 1 and a maximum of three (3) qualifiers will be selected to compete in Qualifier Event 2.  One (1) qualifier will be selected from each Qualifier Event to compete in the Final Event.  Each member of the band, duo or solo artist will receive a $25 dining gift certificate from Odawa Casino.  Approximate Retail Value:  $25.  Total number of prizes to be awarded based on number of band members, duos and artists.         
2. One (1) grand prize and one (1x) runner up prize will be awarded. 

Grand Prize package includes the following: 

• One (1x) four thousand dollar ($4000.00) prize to be awarded in the form of a check payable to grand prize winner.  ARV:  $4000.00
• AV Studio to provide six (6) hours of studio recording time.  ARV:  $600
• Jabo Bihlman to provide six (6) hours of production services.  ARV:  $600
• LIVE in-depth interview on Station on 9/10/25 on the Jomama’s Rock & Roll Joyride.  ARV:  Priceless
• Minimum of 12x plays of original song on Station and stream (q100michigan.com) between September and November 30, 2025.  ARV:  Priceless
• Featured segment on the Stations Michigan Music Connection show.  Date TBD.  ARV:  Priceless.

TOTAL ARV for grand prize package:$5,200

Runner Up package includes the following:

• One (1x) one thousand dollar ($1,000) prize to be awarded in the form of a check payable to the Final Runner Up.  ARV:  $1,000.00
• Featured segment on the Stations Michigan Music Connection show.  Date:  TBD  ARV:  Priceless

TOTAL ARV for runner up prize package:$1,000

3. Grand prize winner and runner up will be solely responsible for all insurance requirements, title, taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the Prize.  Prize shall be awarded “as is” with no warranties, representations, or guarantees, express or implied, with the exception of any standard manufacturer’s warranty that may apply to the Prize.  Due to the time sensitivity of the prize package, the winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within seven (7) days of the first attempt to contact winner.  After seven (7) days, an alternate winner may be selected to perform in Qualifier Event 1 or Qualifier Event 2 based on judging criteria as outlined in Section 4.

3. Any qualifying prizes or prize certificates must be picked up at the office of the Station at the address below.  The grand prize winner and runner up will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within seven (7) days, or earlier for time sensitive prizes, at Blarney Stone Broadcasting, 6514 Old Lake Road, Grayling, MI  49738.  In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior verbal consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss.  The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

4. There are no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash.  The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses.  Other restrictions may apply.

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

1. Decisions of Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.

2. QUALIFIERS FOR QUALIFIER EVENT 1 and QUALIFIER EVENT 2: 

Maximum of three (3) qualifiers will be selected to compete in Qualifier Event 1 and three (3) qualifiers will be selected to compete in Qualifier Event 2.  Six (6) total qualifiers.  Qualifiers will be determined by a committee of Q100 Michigan and Odawa Casino representatives based on the following criteria:  originality, musicianship and arrangement.  Qualifiers will be contacted by phone or email on or before Sunday, July 27, 2025.

3. QUALIFIERS FOR FINAL EVENT:

The top qualifier from Qualifier Event 1 and the top qualifier from Qualifier Event 2 will compete at the Final Event.  Total two (2) qualifiers for Final Event.  All qualifiers are required to provide backline and instruments.

Final Event Qualifiers will be determined by the highest score as outlined below:

50% of total score determined by judges’ scores.  A four (4) judge panel, 2x Q100 Michigan and 2x Odawa Casino representatives, will rate each qualifiers stage performance from 0-10 based on the following criteria: originality, musicianship, arrangement and showmanship.

50% of total score determined by applause meter score following qualifiers stage performance

In the event of a tie, the judging panel will make the final decision.

The top qualifier from Qualifier Event 1 and Qualifier Event 2 will be determined following all stage performances for each Qualifier Event.  The qualifier moving on to the Final Event will be announced following the performances approximately 9PM-10PM at each Qualifier Event. 

4. FINAL EVENT:

The top two (2) qualifiers as determined in Qualifier Event 1 and Qualifier Event 2 will compete for the grand prize.  All qualifiers are required to provide backline and instruments.

One (1x) grand prize winner will be determined by the highest score as outlined below:

50% of total score determined by judges’ scores.  A four (4) judge panel, 2x Q100 Michigan and 2x Odawa Casino representatives, will rate each qualifiers stage performance from 0-10 based on the following criteria: originality, musicianship, arrangement and showmanship.

The grand prize winner and runner up will be announced live on stage at Odawa Casino on Saturday, September 6, 202024 following the performances approximately 9PM-10PM. 

4. Winner does not need to listen to the Station to win.

5. Odds of qualifying depend on the number of entries received by the deadline.  Odds of winning the grand prize is 1:6 once determined as a qualifier.

6. Grand Prize Winner must sign any required Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form at the time of delivery or prize will be forfeited and, if time permits, an alternate winner may be selected in a random drawing of all remaining eligible entries received.

5. CONDITIONS

1. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station.  Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.

2. By participating in the Promotion, each qualifier agrees to have their original song, name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Promotion without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to such acceptance of the prize.

3. Prior to being allowed to accept any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require the submitter of a winning entry to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Promotion.

4. If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including, but not limited to, as a result of severe weather conditions, national or local health crisis, pandemics, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Station that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, or modify the Promotion.  If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right to select the winner by random drawing from among all eligible non-suspect entries received as of the termination time/date or otherwise modify the procedure for selecting qualifiers.

5. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Station’s website.  Failure to comply with the rules of the Promotion may result in a contestant’s disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prize or prizes.  If the Station makes a good faith determination that an entrant has cheated or committed fraudulent activity in connection with a Promotion, the Station reserves the right to disqualify that entrant from entering and/or winning future Promotions and to prosecute and seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Promotion, including, without limitation, the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.  If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event or travel is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserve the right, but not the obligation, to cancel, terminate, suspend, or modify the Promotion and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

7. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of a prize.

8. 6. PRIVACY

1. By use of the Station’s website or by entering the Promotion through the Station’s website and or Facebook/Instagram page, you agree to the website’s Terms of Use Agreement located at http://www.q100michigan.com and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at http://www.q100michigan.com.
